Middle-aged, mostly exhausted by ideas and experiences, men in the throes of loneliness, of doubt or betrayal, pried free of cultural stereotypes, men illuminated with tenderness or sarcasm, narrate difficult lives that hover between memories and aspirations.

 

With these gender-inverted monologues, the authors prove that, in the end, literature pleads sometimes for the genderless and sometimes for the androgynous.
